Viet Thanh Nguyen
Nguyen is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "The Sympathizer," short story collection "The
Refugees," nonfiction works "Nothing Ever Dies" and "Race and Resistance," and the editor of a new essay
collection, "The Displaced: Refugee Writers on Refugee Lives." He teaches at the University of Southern
California, and is a critic-at-large for the Los Angeles Times and a contributing opinion writer for the New
York Times.
