La Farge is the author of four novels, most recently "The Night Ocean," a finalist for the 2017 LA Times Book Prize for Mystery/Thriller. His stories and nonfiction have appeared in The New Yorker, The New Republic, The Paris Review, Harper's, and elsewhere. He lives in upstate New York.
