Wise oversees all creative book development and publishing operations for Adaptive Studios. Since joining the company in August 2016, he has published 14 titles with both award-winning and emerging authors. In his tenure at Adaptive, Wise has personally acquired 12 projects slated to publish through the end of this year and in to 2019. More than half of his acquisitions are in stages of film and television development, including title Air at Lionsgate and The Memory Thief with FOX. Prior to joining Adaptive Studios, Wise was the Director of Publishing for Blumhouse Books, a joint venture between Blumhouse Productions and Random House. Before joining Blum’s team he was a literary agent at Foundry Literary + Media, helping to found their book-to-film division. Wise holds an MFA from Naropa University where he was the prose editor for the esteemed literary journal Bombay Gin.
