Ari Banias

Banias is the author of "Anybody" (W.W. Norton, 2016), which was named a finalist for the Kate Tufts Discovery Award and the PEN Center USA Literary Award. He was born in Los Angeles, grew up in the Chicago area, and lives in Berkeley, CA, where he teaches poetry and works with small press books. His poems appear in American Poetry Review, Boston Review, Los Angeles Review of Books Quarterly, POETRY, A Public Space, The Volta, Troubling The Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics, and as part of MOTHA, the Museum of Trans Hirstory & Art.
