For decades, books have been important minefields for visual storytelling. From Ready Player One to Outlander to Pretty Little Liars, we’ve watched novels be re-told through film, miniseries and television. But what goes into adapting best sellers into critically acclaimed TV shows? And how are some companies successfully reversing this process by beginning with a script, transitioning into a book, and then remaking it into a visual medium? Join SeriesFest as they talk to some of the leading producers and writers behind today’s adaptations from book to TV and TV to book. The panel will identify the similarities in which books have brought about inspiration for both the big and small screen. Our expert panelists, including producers, screenwriters, and novelists, will also discuss co-developing a project across multiple platforms and the various ways to find success in building a story.
